Full job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site opportunity .

Pay: $20.00 to $ 21.00/hour

Type: Contract to Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM

Every other weekend, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:

  • Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.

  • Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.

  • Process returned medications and handle recycling or disposal according to procedures.

  • Prepack frequently ordered medications, apply labels, and store products as needed.

  • Package medications and other materials manually.

  • Pull medications from shelving and designated storage areas.

  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.

  • Notify the pharmacist of any medications or products that do not scan properly.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish supplies.

  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

  • Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies.

  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Pharmacy Technician:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Ability to work at a moderate pace.

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
