Job Description

We are seeking an Automation Engineering Lead, who is ready to drive the strategy and execution of test automation frameworks across a dynamic engineering environment. The client is seeking a technically strong leader who can bridge the gap between development and quality assurance, championing automation best practices at scale. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as this role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure Define and enforce automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines across engineering teams Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Mentor and guide junior and mid-level automation engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve automation coverage and efficiency Partner with Test Services and QA leadership to align automation strategy with overall testing objectives Analyze test results, identify failure trends, and drive root cause analysis to improve product quality Communicate automation progress, metrics, and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Salary $124k

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation engineering, with demonstrated progression into a lead or senior role 3+ years of experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from the ground up 3+ years of experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar) Strong proficiency in one or more automation languages/tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent) Experience leading or mentoring a team of automation engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and product management teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
