Payroll Specialist

Description

An HR Consulting company is seeking a Payroll Specialist who has strong knowledge of PRISMHR.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for a large employee population, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated correctly and delivered on schedule.

• Administer multi-state payroll activities in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including earnings changes, tax elections, direct deposit details, and benefit deductions.

• Use ADP Workforce Now and PrismHR to enter, review, and reconcile payroll data with a high degree of accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, responding to questions from employees and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Review payroll reports and conduct audits to identify errors, confirm compliance, and support accurate recordkeeping.

• Assist with payroll-related process updates, including system or workflow changes, to help ensure a smooth and compliant payroll operation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience processing full-cycle payroll from data entry through final payroll review and distribution.

• Background handling multi-state payroll with knowledge of payroll tax and wage compliance requirements.

• Experience working with PrismHR for payroll processing or employee record maintenance.

• Proven ability to manage payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues in a fast-paced setting.
