Full job description

Job Title: HSE Technician

General Description:

The Stage 3 Separation HSE Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs across corporate and field operations. The HSE Technician is an early-career safety professional who will work closely with the HSE team, field leadership, and employees to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

This is an office-based and a field-facing position that provides an excellent opportunity to build a career in HSE within the Oilfield Services (OFS) and Environmental Services (ES) sectors.

Essential Functions:

  • Promote and maintain a culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory

agencies.

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of HSE policies and procedures.

  • Monitor contractor safety performance via compliance systems, e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta, Comply Works and similar

platforms.

  • Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Assist with workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.

  • Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and evacuation procedures.

  • Assist with HSE incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.

  • Identification of workplace hazards and recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Monitor and evaluate environmental compliance, as applicable.

  • Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management.

  • Participate in safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct onsite inspections, offer recommendations, and conduct follow-up reviews.

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers, verbally and in writing.

  • Work independently and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental principles and best practices.

  • Kowledge and comprehension of OSHA regulations and their application.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws.

  • Skilled in data organization, recordkeeping, and reporting.

  • Skilled in the creation of Issue Reports, Power-Point Presentations (.PPT), and Safety Alerts.

  • Skilled in exercising discretion while handling confidential documents and information.

  • Skilled in collaborative teamwork.

  • Ability to exercise strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects.

  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail.

  • Fluency in Spanish, preferred.

Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

  • HSE degree or certification, e.g., associate degree, ASP, COSS, etc., preferred; or,

  • OSHA 30 and a cursory knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

  • Eligible to drive Company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of Company’s Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy.

  • HSE experience in Environmental or Oilfield Services a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office and other required PC software applications.

  • Experience with HSE Software, including Mitti, is preferred.

  • Willing to travel (< 10%), learn, and conduct fieldwork
