Litigation Paralegal

Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Robert Half is partnering with a highly respected regional law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and sophisticated litigation practice supporting attorneys on complex commercial litigation, creditors' rights, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and trial matters.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of independently managing complex cases from inception through trial and appeal. This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside accomplished legal professionals in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex litigation matters from initial filing through trial, judgment, and appeal.

  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.

  • Support creditors' rights matters, including bankruptcy filings and monitoring, judgment enforcement, garnishments, and foreclosure proceedings.

  • Coordinate and oversee all phases of discovery, including document review, e-discovery management, production tracking, and vendor coordination.

  • Assist attorneys with case strategy by organizing facts, evidence, timelines, and case materials.

  • Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, witness files, and other materials necessary for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.

  • Coordinate witness interviews, depositions, and courtroom logistics.

  • Support settlement negotiations and mediations through preparation of supporting documentation and analysis.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, vendors, and third parties.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week following the onboarding period. New hires should expect to work on-site during the initial training and orientation process to ensure a smooth transition and integration with the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and procedures.

  • Experience supporting creditors' rights, bankruptcy, collection, and foreclosure matters is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience managing document-intensive litigation and e-discovery processes.

  • Demonstrated success supporting attorneys through trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

  • Proficiency with legal technology and case management platforms such as iManage, Relativity, CaseMap, OnCue, or similar systems.
