Job description:

Do you enjoy leading others and building collaborative relationships?

In this role you will support adults with intellectual disabilities and build relationships with agency staff, outside professionals, and parents/guardians.

As a 3rd Shift Supervisor at Area Residential Care, you will be responsible for being a leader, instructor, and supporter of Direct Support staff in all aspects of their work. Supervisors display to their staff what it takes to successfully care for our individuals served. The Supervisor will work in all residential homes as needed. The Supervisors complete staff evaluations, and ensure that all our residential homes and programs comply with licensing and regulations. Will be required to become a certified med passer within 6 months of hire date.

Wage range: $ 19.30 - $23.11

Schedule: Full Time

generally work Monday -Friday 11pm - 7am / 12pm- 8 am required to adjust hours as needed. On-call rotation including holidays is required on a rotating schedule with other Supervisors.

Required qualifications:

Minimum

  • Education: High school diploma or HSED (GED)

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets agency authorized driver criteria.

  • Skills, Experience: 1 year of supervisory experience required.

  • Must have strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must demonstrate an understanding of basic budgetary information.

  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

  • Will be required to become a certified med passer within 6 months of hire date.

Preferred

Education: AA or BA in Human Services, Management, or Education-related field.

  • We also require a drug test, physical and background as part of the process.

Its mission is to empower people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their highest quality of life.
