Job Description
A large healthcare organization is seeking a Value Analysis Manager to lead clinical product evaluation, standardization, and implementation initiatives across its hospital network. This role sits at the intersection of clinical operations, supply chain, and project management, partnering closely with physicians, nurses, clinical leaders, Supply Chain, and vendors.
A major focus of this role is evaluating new and existing clinical products to determine the best product for the intended clinical use at the most appropriate cost. This individual will balance clinical effectiveness, quality, physician and staff needs, utilization, and financial impact to help the organization make informed product decisions.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical credibility and project management skills. This could be someone with a nursing or clinical background who has transitioned into an administrative, value analysis, or supply chain role; an experienced Value Analysis professional; or a healthcare/supply chain Project Manager with significant experience working directly with clinicians.
Key Responsibilities Lead and project manage clinical value analysis and product implementation initiatives from initial evaluation through implementation and ongoing monitoring. Evaluate new and existing products based on clinical effectiveness, quality, utilization, stakeholder needs, pricing, and overall value to determine the best solution for the organization. Partner directly with physicians, nurses, and other clinical stakeholders to understand how products are used in practice and determine whether alternative products can provide comparable or improved clinical value at a better cost. Compare products using clinical evidence, stakeholder feedback, utilization data, benchmarking, pricing, and financial impact to develop recommendations. Identify opportunities to standardize products, reduce unnecessary variation, improve utilization, and generate cost savings without compromising clinical needs or patient care. Serve as the liaison between clinical teams and Supply Chain, translating clinical requirements into actionable product and sourcing strategies. Facilitate Value Analysis Committees and clinical stakeholder discussions related to new product requests, technology assessments, utilization, and standardization. Develop and execute implementation plans for approved products and initiatives, coordinating timelines, clinical education, product availability, stakeholder communication, and operational requirements. Work with Supply Chain, suppliers, and distribution partners to understand product availability, lead times, notification requirements, and implementation considerations when introducing, replacing, or standardizing products. Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different clinical categories, maintaining ownership of timelines, deliverables, risks, barriers, and stakeholder communication. Coordinate product trials and gather feedback from physicians, nurses, technicians, and other clinical staff before decisions are finalized. Support alternative product evaluations during backorders, recalls, or supply disruptions, ensuring appropriate clinical review and approval before implementation. Monitor the clinical, operational, and financial impact of implemented changes to ensure initiatives are achieving the intended results. *This person will be remote, but need to go onsite as needed to their hospital locations across Allentown, Philly Suburbs, Philadelphia, and South Jersey
