MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN - VulcanForms (Devens, MA) VulcanForms - founded to develop the world's first industrially scalable laser metal additive manufacturing solution. We build and operate advanced digital infrastructure combining scalable additive manufacturing and precision machining in a clean, safety-focused facility. About the Role: Provide hands-on technical support to Production teams to implement, commission, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and post-process equipment. Lead process development, data collection, and continuous improvement projects focused on quality, safety, and cost reduction. On-site position in Devens, MA; may include occasional overtime. Key Responsibilities: - Support improvement projects for product quality: identify manufacturing issues and develop cost-effective corrective actions (including scrap reduction) - Develop, implement, and maintain processes for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies - Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize post-process equipment and production tooling - Work with Production Associates, Quality, and Engineering to resolve methods, tooling, equipment, and product design issues - Use data-driven root cause analysis and corrective action tools - Support product cost-reduction initiatives and process documentation - Identify safety hazards and promote adherence to health & safety policies Qualifications: - 3+ years hands-on technical experience in a manufacturing environment - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations - Experience supporting implementation/qualification of new processes and equipment - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing techniques and data-driven problem solving - Comfortable working on the production floor and following PPE and safety procedures Preferred: - Experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) - Experience qualifying equipment for medical manufacturing - Hands-on machining experience Compensation: - Hourly Range: $25.00 - $42.00 / hr *Actual compensation based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
