Job Description Summary

This is a high-impact, high-visibility people leadership role at one of the most dynamic intersections of GE Vernova's Gas Power supply chain. As the Regional Supplier Quality Leader – Configured Systems, AMERICAS, you will lead a team of approximately 20+ professionals — including Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Supplier Quality Inspectors (SQIs), and technical leaders — through an exciting period of rapid organizational growth.

The scope of this role is expanding significantly. The AMERICAS region is absorbing a new product scope — Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) — in addition to the existing Material Shipped Directly (MSD) and Balance of Plant (BoP) portfolios. This creates an unprecedented leadership challenge — and an equally unprecedented career opportunity.

This is the right role for a mid-career quality or supply chain leader who thrives under complexity, is not afraid of a challenge, and is looking for a position that will accelerate their career trajectory and put them in direct contact with key customers and senior stakeholders.

Job Description

What You'll Do

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~20+ professionals across SQE, SQI, and technical leader functions, with 4–5 direct reports managing sub-teams

  • Drive a strong leadership pipeline grounded in integrity, accountability, and GE Leadership Behaviors

  • Build and sustain an inclusive, psychologically safe team culture centered on safety, quality, and continuous learning

  • Ensure effective cross-functional communication and alignment with operational goals across a globally distributed team

Strategic Supplier Quality Management

  • Own the end-to-end supplier quality process — from supplier approval and qualification through purchase order execution, inspections, problem resolution, and shipment release — across the MSD, BoP, and HRSG supply base in the AMERICAS region

  • Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to ensure on-time delivery, on-budget execution, and first-time-right product quality

  • Align with Global Supplier Quality and Strategic Sourcing leaders to identify and drive supplier quality development programs that continuously elevate performance

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Drive systematic improvements to meet CoPQ targets, on-time delivery, cost-out/savings goals, and Gas Power SQ KPIs

  • Oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for supplier non-conformances; ensure preventative actions are implemented and sustained

  • Lead qualification, development, and surveillance audits across the AMERICAS supply base

  • Ensure compliance with management system procedures for supplier approval and product qualification

  • Manage Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and RCAs for complex, cross-functional quality issues

  • Execute Lean programs with suppliers; manage budgets effectively for people and projects

  • Own SRG (Safety/Health/Environment Supplier Responsibility Guidelines) metrics and audits for assigned suppliers

As Needed (Occasional)

  • Deputize for individual SQEs during coverage gaps, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI), and supplier surveillance audits (Note: This is an infrequent activity, not a core daily function)

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering — or equivalent technical field from an accredited institution

  • Significant experience in supplier quality, supply chain operations, or project management

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience managing multi-layered teams

  • Experience in the Power industry, with familiarity in MSD, BoP, and/or HRSG product scopes

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%, sometimes on short notice

  • Fluent in English

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and influence teams through complexity and change

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and facilitation skills; able to manage numerous stakeholders across multiple countries

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels

  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving capability

  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional matrix environment with global team dynamics

  • Safety, compliance, quality, and Lean mindset — embedded in how you lead, not just what you do

  • Humble, open, collaborative, and always learning

  • Proficient with Six Sigma DMAIC, 8D, or other Root Cause Analysis methodologies

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes: casting, forging, welding, heat treatment, coating, machining, and NDT

  • Awareness of EN, ASTM, ASME, and API standards (familiarity required; daily application is not expected)

  • Lead auditor experience and/or certification a plus

Why This Role?

  • Career accelerator — high visibility at the intersection of key customers, senior leaders, and global strategy

  • Global reach — manage suppliers and relationships across the AMERICAS, with international exposure

  • Unprecedented growth — be at the forefront of a tripling HRSG scope and a transformative organizational evolution

  • Meaningful impact — your leadership directly shapes the quality of power infrastructure delivered to customers around the world

  • Remote-friendly — flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States

Travel up to 25% (domestic & international) / No visa sponsorship | No relocation assistance
