About the Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to direct complex enterprise data modernization programs and cloud migration initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical architecture and strategic delivery, leading cross-functional teams (onsite/offshore) to modernize legacy data estates into scalable cloud-native architectures. You will oversee the full software development lifecycle—from scoping, architecture alignment, and workload assessment to CI/CD, data governance, and steady-state operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Program & Delivery Management: Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data initiatives, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent tracks.
• Cloud Modernization Oversight: Direct the transition of legacy platforms (Teradata, Mainframe, SQL Server, Ab Initio, DataStage) to modern cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure/AWS architectures.
• Team & Vendor Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams of 20+ engineers, architects, analysts, and testers across onsite and offshore delivery models.
• Engineering Standards & CI/CD: Govern technical best practices across pipeline engineering (PySpark, DBT), workflow orchestration (Airflow), automation, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Data Governance & Observability: Partner with enterprise architecture to enforce data modeling standards (Data Vault, Star Schema), data quality frameworks, metadata governance, and platform observability.
• Emerging Tech & AI Enablement: Champion the adoption of modern engineering tooling, MLOps monitoring frameworks, and AI-assisted delivery tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, automated code transformation) to accelerate delivery cycles.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 12+ years of IT delivery experience, with 5+ years directly managing large-scale data engineering, data warehousing, or cloud migration programs.
• Cloud & Data Architecture: Hands-on background or strong technical delivery oversight in Databricks, Azure ecosystems.
• Legacy Modernization: Proven track record governing migrations from on-premise systems (Teradata, legacy ETL tools, Mainframe, or traditional RDBMS) to cloud-native platforms.
• Technical Breadth: Strong foundational understanding of data transformation and orchestration tools (PySpark, DBT, Apache Airflow, SQL).
• Methodologies: Deep expertise with Agile/Scrum and SAFe delivery frameworks, sprint planning, and backlog grooming using Jira or Confluence.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), PMP, or advanced project management credentials.
• Advanced Data Platforms: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, or MLOps monitoring platforms (e.g., Evidently, MLflow).
