Full job description

Under the administrative supervision of the Vice President of Treatment Operations, the Alumni Coordinator is responsible for supporting the alumni program and services offered by Mirror. The Alumni Coordinator shall operate in accordance with the policies set forth by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable laws and regulations. The Alumni Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for the alumni program, assist with coordination of the alumni program across all facilities, and collect longitudinal data.

  • Conduct monthly outreach and provide peer support contact with alumni following completion of intermediate level-of-care, with a primary focus on strengthening engagement and retention through continuum step down.

  • Accurately document all alumni contacts, peer support activities, referrals, and recovery planning in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with payer, and regulatory requirements per billing matrix.

  • Conduct monthly outreach calls for all clients who have been discharged from services for 90-180 days post discharge to collect and document longitudinal data metrics.

  • Provide alumni data reports as requested.

  • Serve as the primary administrator of the Mirror Alumni Recovery app including enrollment, content updates, schedule/calendar updates, event promotion, monitoring chat, development of user engagement strategies, and monitoring user access.

  • Serve as the Mirror liaison between Mirror programs and Mirror Alumni Association chapters across all programs to foster consistency, collaboration, communication, and enhance participation and recovery-oriented activities.

  • Develop and manage alumni membership processes to ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.

  • Work closely with Mirror leadership to identify ways to utilize alumni association membership to enhance client engagement and retention in services, while increasing support for current clients.

  • All other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or Mirror executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development certificate.

  • Be a Kansas Certified Peer Mentor (KCPM) or Kansas Certified Person-Centered Case Manager (PCCM) or eligible to become one.

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a business office, billing, or healthcare scheduling/registration/admissions setting.

  • Computer experience. Ability to word process program and client related material in a fast, efficient manner.

  • Assist in the collection of client fees as it directly impacts the relationship between the client and Mirror.

  • Good reading and writing skills.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Awareness of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.

  • Must be able to pass background/security check.

  • Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder must have a minimum of two consecutive years of sustained recovery from their chemical addiction; and must be in full remission.

  • Must have proficient computer skills or experience and/or skills working with an Electronic Health Record.

  • This position may also involve bending, walking stairs and lifting up to 40 pounds on occasion.
