Description

SAIC is seeking a Junior Program Analyst to join a small, collaborative team supporting mission-focused projects for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Scientific Computing Board (SCB).

This position will be primarily remote, with flexibility to support a hybrid work arrangement in Silver Spring, Maryland, as needed or requested by FDA stakeholders. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the FDA White Oak campus.

The FDA Scientific Computing Board promotes collaboration, integration, and awareness across the Agency's scientific computing and information technology (IT) community. Its mission is to strengthen scientific IT systems and infrastructure in support of FDA's broader regulatory science mission while fostering greater collaboration within the scientific computing community and beyond.

The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and will work directly with high-visibility FDA stakeholders, including SCB Leadership, Members, Observers, working groups, and other FDA partners and collaborators. The role will involve identifying program needs, coordinating activities, and developing high-quality communications and deliverables that advance the Board's mission and strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. The candidate should be able to manage multiple workstreams, respond effectively to emerging needs and shifting priorities, and provide support across coordination, documentation, communications, and planning activities as needed. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, with a consistent focus on quality, responsiveness, and effective stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree and 0-1+ years of relevant experience

  • Prefer 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interface with high-visibility customers and team effectively

  • Ability to work in a collaborative remote work environment

  • Ability to take ownership of projects/processes

  • Proficient working in Microsoft Applications such as MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in project management in Health IT

  • Experience with event management

  • Experience with project planning

  • Experience with process improvement

  • Experience with communication/products

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
