Maintains appropriate documentation of testing and patient test results. Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and performs some clerical functions. Works with computers and specialized equipment. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Follows the laboratorys procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results. - Demonstrates knowledge of and follows universal precautions. - Utilizes computer information systems and specialized equipment. - Adheres to organization and governmental standards, rules and regulations. - Promotes good customer service by demonstrating appropriate telephone etiquette. - Performs waived testing with supervisory discretion. - Performs clerical duties. - Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct. - Regular and dependable attendance. - Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on CMSweb. - Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy. - OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains cleanliness of laboratory.
