Job Requirements

About the Role & Team

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Sr. Manager, Program Management to drive launch operations and program delivery within the Product Management, Cross Ecosystem Experiences organization—the team responsible for bringing Disney's businesses and divisions into the Epic Games / Disney ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Product Management, this leader serves as the operational backbone of a cross-company product and technology program spanning Disney Digital Entertainment (DDE), TWDC lines of business (Parks, Imagineering, Disney+, ESPN, Consumer Products, Disney Entertainment ESPN Product Technology), and Epic Games.

This role bridges strategic vision and day-to-day execution: owning milestone planning, launch readiness, operating cadence, risk management, and executive reporting across a portfolio of non-gameplay integrations—including identity/account linking, content delivery, digital rewards, and commerce experiences. You are a program management expert who thrives in ambiguity, builds scalable processes from the ground up, and earns influence through credibility and clarity.

This is a full-time, remote-optional role.

What You Will Do

Lead Launch Program Management

  • Own end-to-end launch plans for non-gameplay integration workstreams—spanning identity, content, digital rewards, and commerce—defining scope, milestones, resource dependencies, and success criteria.

  • Coordinate launch readiness across DDE, TWDC lines of business, and Epic Games program teams, ensuring all workstreams are aligned, sequenced, and on track.

  • Drive a "just enough" process rigor approach that enables teams to move fast while maintaining transparency into program health and risks.

Establish and Drive Operating Cadence

  • Design and maintain the program operating rhythm: weekly syncs, milestone reviews, dependency tracking, and decision escalation frameworks across 10+ workstreams.

  • Partner with DDE Production, Epic Program Management, and TWDC PMO functions to ensure cross-company workstreams are coordinated and interdependencies are managed.

  • Proactively surface trade-offs, sequencing risks, and capacity constraints to the VP and Director in advance of launches.

Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, program health metrics, and status reports that give the VP and senior stakeholders clear, real-time visibility into program progress and risks.

  • Draft memos, briefings, and visual models that articulate complex cross-workstream decisions with clarity and confidence.

  • Build and manage stakeholder communication channels across DDE, TWDC divisions, and Epic counterparts to drive alignment and trust.

Build Process, Tools & Standards

  • Implement and continuously improve program management tools, workflows, and standards—including tooling in Airtable, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Google Workspace.

  • Develop scalable, extensible processes as the Disney-Epic partnership matures, identifying operational improvements and eliminating friction from cross-team execution.

  • Evolve a measurement framework that tracks launch readiness, operational KPIs, and progress toward business goals across the program portfolio.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify, track, and resolve program risks, issues, cross-company dependencies, and open decisions—driving resolution or escalating with recommendations.

  • Maintain a living risk register and issue log; communicate status clearly to leadership with options and recommended actions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of program and project management experience in a large corporate, digital, or technology environment, with at least 3 years in a senior management-facing role.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs in a highly matrixed, multi-company organization, influencing without direct authority.

  • Expert-level proficiency in program management tooling: Airtable, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Smartsheets, Sharepoint, Teams, Google Workspace, and/or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong visual communication skills; ability to translate complex program states and risks into clear executive presentations and visual models.

  • Demonstrated tenacity and comfort with ambiguity; ability to build structure and clarity in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

  • Experience in a senior management-facing or C-suite-adjacent communication role.

  • Deep affinity with Gaming, Fortnite, Disney content, brands, and IP, and familiarity with Disney's lines of business.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in gaming, gaming-adjacent platforms, interactive media, or large-scale digital product ecosystems.

  • Familiarity with identity systems, digital rewards, commerce platforms, or cross-platform integration programs.

  • Global or international launch experience.

  • Experience working across a multi-company partnership or joint venture program.

Education

  • BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

  • One or more current project management certifications preferred (PMP, CAPM, CSM, MPM, or equivalent).
