Full job description
There is an immediate opening for a Mental Health Therapist - AOT in the Department of Mental Health and Community Services in Indian Lake. This is a 35-hour per week position that has a competitive salary between $41.12/hr. - $48.58/hr. (commensurate with experience), is eligible for healthcare benefits and New York State Retirement Pension Plan with the opportunity for you to experience a whole new level of life balance in the heart of New Yorks Adirondack region. The Mental Health Therapist - AOT develops policy and procedures for (AOT) and (EVA) in accordance with the (OMH). The MHT- AOT also oversees the treatment of individuals on AOT or EVA, does home visits as indicated by treatment plan and is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and reporting data as required by OMH. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Community Services Director or his/her designee who may define and limit the work to be performed. Employees of this class also provide consultation services to other community agencies to assist them in understanding and dealing with individual cases. Candidate chosen for the position will be given a provisional appointment until the title is approved into the NY HELPS Program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: (1) Possession of a valid NYS drivers license AND (2) Possession of a valid NYS Department of Education license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Creative Arts Therapy. NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.
