Job Description
Position Overview
As Director, Energy Supply you will be responsible for implementing Invenergy’s energy supply strategy across North America by evaluating and assembling the generation resources that supply large loads at Invenergy’s data center sites, structuring supply arrangements in support of energy supply agreements (ESAs), and delivering a path to power for each site from bridge power through grid-connected service. Reporting to the SVP, Commercial & Energy Supply, you will draw on Invenergy’s operating and new-build generation portfolio and work closely with teams across Invenergy’s digital infrastructure and power businesses. This role would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced energy professional looking to apply their utility, IPP or data center energy experience to large load supply and to build and lead the Energy Supply function within a new and rapidly expanding digital infrastructure business.
Invenergy follows a hybrid schedule, working in office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

-
Evaluate market generation on an as-needed basis to supplement Invenergy’s resources in coordination with the Energy Trading group.
-
Lead early-stage ESA and PPA discussions with utilities from a structuring perspective in coordination with the power Origination team, and support the Contracts team through negotiation and execution
-
Coordinate internal analytics functions and outside consultants to determine the optimal generation and load capacity at each site

Analyze utility tariffs and large load rate structures, including minimum demand and collateral requirements, and engage internal teams for cost and dispatch modeling of supply options
-
Partner with the Business Development team to support tenant conversations, including customer-specific power requirements
-
Provide energy diligence to the Development team during site evaluation
-
Support the Interconnection team on load interconnection agreements from a business and commercial perspective
