The position leads direct reports and partner resources supporting IAM initiatives and is responsible for a portfolio of identity lifecycle products, features, integrations, automations, and solutions, including associated operational and performance metrics. The role partners closely with customers, stakeholders, and technology teams to gather requirements, resolve complex technical challenges, and deliver high-quality, robust, and scalable identity services.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical priorities and maintain ownership of delivery and operational support for the Identity Lifecycle Management platform, including Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes, application onboarding, and IAM-related automations.

  • Lead Agile development activities for SailPoint and connected identity services while establishing and maintaining key delivery mechanisms that support Agile execution.

  • Act as a senior engineer by providing hands-on support and technical guidance for complex solutions and implementations when required.

  • Partner with Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, ServiceNow teams, and other technical stakeholders to define requirements and estimate effort, timelines, and delivery costs.

  • Ensure engineering, security, compliance, and technical considerations are incorporated into all team ceremonies and delivery activities.

  • Guide teams toward realistic commitments and achievable delivery goals by promoting inclusive estimation and planning practices.

  • Lead technical solution design and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, IAM controls, software development best practices, and Agile methodologies.

  • Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and delivery status to technical teams and business stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain delivery timelines and project schedules for key initiatives and operational activities.

  • Ensure appropriate team structure, technical environments, resources, and capacity are in place to meet project and operational objectives.

  • Demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to improve platform capabilities and team effectiveness.

  • Own end-to-end delivery and operational support for identity solutions, including identity automations, application onboarding, SailPoint integrations, ServiceNow integrations, DevOps processes, and future migration initiatives to SaaS platforms.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.

  • Resolve escalated production and delivery issues while providing leadership during incidents, conflict resolution, and crisis management situations.

  • Adapt quickly to changing business priorities, evolving technologies, and unforeseen challenges while adjusting plans and resource allocations as needed.

  • Determine objectives, establish priorities, and effectively delegate responsibilities across team members and partner resources.

  • Ensure projects and initiatives align with organizational strategy, business priorities, and long-term technology roadmaps.

  • Serve as the accountable owner for a portfolio of identity products, features, components, automations, and solutions, including associated operational and performance metrics.

  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders throughout the organization.

  • Deliver technical presentations and recommendations to diverse audiences, including business leaders, engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders.

  • Synthesize data, technical information, and business insights to support decision-making and communicate compelling recommendations.

  • Identify risks, assess potential impacts, and implement effective mitigation strategies and solutions.

  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert and thought leader in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and related technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting high-performance, highly scalable applications in Agile environments.

  • 2+ years of experience in a software development or engineering leadership role.

  • Strong experience within Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) environments.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SailPoint, including identity lifecycle workflows, provisioning, application integrations, onboarding, APIs, and automation capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of application integration patterns, software development practices, databases, and enterprise technologies.

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and related delivery frameworks.

  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and driving delivery across multiple workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating SailPoint with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms.

  • Experience supporting or leading SailPoint SaaS migration initiatives.

  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and modern identity platforms.

  • Strong background in DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, automation, and monitoring.
