Consultant, Product Manager

Help shape products that support Deloitte's Human Capital offerings. As a Consultant, Product Manager, you will own and prioritize the product backlog for an assigned product, platform, or client workstream within HC Forward. You will translate product strategy, stakeholder needs, and user feedback into actionable requirements that help delivery teams create measurable value. You will collaborate with Product Management, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to plan, sequence, and validate product increments.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant, Product Manager on the HC Forward team, you will be responsible for...

• Own and maintain a single, prioritized product backlog; translate product strategy, business requirements, and user needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Refine and re-prioritize the backlog based on business value, dependencies, risk, and stakeholder input; make day-to-day scope and sequencing decisions and escalate tradeoffs that affect roadmap commitments.

• Partner with delivery leads, Scrum Masters, engineering, and design teams to plan and execute delivery increments; participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Serve as the delivery team's primary contact for requirements clarification, priority questions, and scope decisions; review completed work against acceptance criteria and definitions of done.

• Engage business stakeholders, external clients, end users, and Product Management to gather feedback, communicate progress and risks, support release readiness, and help resolve delivery dependencies and blockers.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree

• 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role, including ownership of a product backlog in an Agile delivery environment.

• 2 years of experience working on Agile or Scrum delivery teams.

• 2 years of experience translating business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• 2 years of experience in a consulting or professional services organization.

• Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps to manage Agile delivery work.

• Experience working in Human Resources, Human Capital, or Human Capital Management (HCM) platform or technology environments.

• Experience using data from a relational database to support product prioritization and decision-making.

• Experience applying user-experience research or design-thinking practices to product development.

• Certified Scrum Product Owner, Professional Scrum Product Owner, or Scaled Agile Framework Product Owner/Product Manager or AI product certification.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,700 to $170,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
