Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST T32, PDD1572000 and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Duties
This position is located at the 161st ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to accomplish budget formulation, trend analyses, and execution evaluation of federal funds provided by the ANG and other Department of Defense (DoD) components to the assigned unit. This position is independently responsible for the overall budget function in organizations, as determined by the Financial Manager. Accomplishes budget functions in support of state and federal ANG operations, training, and readiness missions. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. Qualifications
Military Grades: Sra/E-4 to TSgt/E-6 Compatible Military Assignments: 6F0X1 AFSC SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Candidate must have an excellent understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements. A candidate must have experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Education
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. How You Will Be Evaluated

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics): 1. Demonstrates knowledge of Air Force budget and accounting processes, including budget formulation, execution, and financial reporting, to support mission requirements and ensure compliance with applicable guidance. 2. Working knowledge of financial management systems and computer-generated tools to process transactions, analyze financial data, support budget execution, and assist with resource management functions and training. 3. Ability to monitor budget execution by reviewing obligations, expenditures, and available funding; identify discrepancies and assist in maintaining accurate financial records for various funding sources. 4. Ability to interpret lines of accounting (LOAs), identify funding sources, and apply financial data to ensure accurate processing of budget and accounting transactions. 5. Ability to provide financial guidance and assistance to commanders, Resource Advisors, and organizational personnel by explaining budget policies, funding availability, financial procedures, and the appropriate forms required to process transactions.
