The Fraud Analyst will be responsible for reviewing daily reports to identify suspicious bank account and debit card activity and as needed, perform additional research to confirm fraud. The Fraud Analyst will also be responsible for processing debit card disputes and chargebacks. The Fraud Analyst will be responsible to learn and understand procedures and work independently to research and report cases of fraud to the Director of Fraud.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analytical and data research within banking systems to investigate customer and transactional activity for fraudulent and high-risk activity

  • Analyze data for trends and carries out strategies and programs to reduce risk and fraud

  • Take necessary action, when fraud is identified, to prevent additional fraud and work fraud case, per procedure

  • Communicate with customers who are victims of fraud, answering their questions and helping them to secure their account

  • Assist in and proactively contribute to the development of fraud detection

  • Partner and collaborate with Operations, Compliance, and IT teams to resolve issues and investigate fraud cases

  • Communicate significant issues to management; make recommendations when weaknesses are identified

  • Balance priorities to meet multiple deadlines

  • Participate on special projects and complete other duties as required or assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in general banking operations

  • 2+ years of experience in payment fraud investigation, online fraud, or financial crime risk management

  • 2+ years investigative and data analytical skills with the ability to identify and clearly articulate key risks and issues

  • 1+ years card fraud investigation or card processing experience

  • Proficient Excel experience (e.g., filter, sort, V-lookup)

  • Database software query experience (i.e., SQL, Databricks, etc.)

  • Must reside and work onsite (Draper UT or Eden Prairie MN)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Information Technology from an accredited institution

  • 1+ years customer service experience and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner

  • Experience in healthcare payments, particularly healthcare payments fraud

  • Proven ability to make decisions independently with minimal guidance from management

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
