Full job description

About Till

Till is a family banking app and kids' debit card that helps parents raise financially capable kids. Now part of Western & Southern Financial Group, Till has the resources of a Fortune 500 company behind it. Till is entering its biggest growth phase yet, expanding direct to consumer and building new ways for families to save, spend and grow together. Data sits at the center of that growth: understanding our families, measuring what drives acquisition and engagement, and giving every team numbers they can trust. The role

You will be the first data hire alongside our Data Analytics Lead, taking on a growing share of Till's analysis and reporting and building the dbt models that power it. Family banking brings real analytical depth: shared accounts with multiple users, distinct parent and kid experiences, and relationships that evolve as kids grow into teens and young adults.

Your first focus is marketing. We're significantly increasing our marketing investment and building the team, and you'll be its core data partner for attribution, conversion and engagement. You will also have a voice in how the data function grows, from tools and infrastructure to future hires.

This role reports to the Analytics Lead. You will work closely with:

  • Growth Marketer: you build the attribution and reporting that guide acquisition spend and decide where the next dollar goes.

  • Lifecycle Marketer: you define segments and keep our customer engagement platform fed with reliable data, so journeys run on the same numbers as the rest of the company.

  • Product, Engineering and Operations: you turn open questions into analysis grounded in how the product and business actually work.

What you'll do

  • Be marketing's core data partner. Build reporting on acquisition, attribution, conversion and engagement across the warehouse and product analytics, and maintain the measurement framework that guides acquisition spend and lifecycle programs.

  • Keep the customer engagement platform fed. Make sure the right customer and event data flows reliably into our CEP, and help the team understand what they're looking at.

  • Turn questions into recommendations. Translate open-ended requests into analysis grounded in how our product and business work, and go past the answer to what we should do next, and why.

  • Ask the next question first. Investigate anomalies and open questions on your own before anyone else asks.

  • Build models and dashboards people trust. Write efficient, tested and documented dbt models in Snowflake, and build ad hoc reports and long-lived Metabase dashboards for teams across the company.

  • Share findings in the format that fits. A dashboard, a doc or deck, or a clean spreadsheet someone else can pick up, tailored to the audience and tied to the business goal behind the question.

  • Help shape the data function. Give input on new tools, infrastructure and future hires as the team grows.

What we're looking for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or technical field, or commensurate work experience.

  • 2–5 years in analytics engineering, data analytics or a similar role, ideally at a fintech or financial services company.

  • Strong SQL, equally at home writing production models and exploratory queries.

  • Experience building models in dbt, SQLMesh or a similar tool, using git for version control and code review.

  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.

  • Experience with a BI tool such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau or Mode, and a product analytics tool such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.

  • Experience with marketing data (attribution, conversion, engagement), plus supporting at least one other function.

  • Working proficiency in Python for analysis and light scripting.

  • A clear communicator who presents findings to technical and non-technical audiences and ties them to business decisions.

Nice to have

  • Getting data into a CEP such as Braze or Iterable, and supporting segmentation and campaign measurement.

  • Using Meta or Google Ads data to measure campaign performance and acquisition cost, or building reporting in Google Analytics.

  • Designing A/B tests and analyzing results.

  • Analyzing retention, churn or revenue for a subscription product.

  • Building workflows in Airflow or another orchestration tool.

  • Using AI tools to work faster, with the judgment to know when your own analysis needs to lead.

What success looks like

Your first priority is giving the marketing team measurement they can rely on ahead of our next major launch. Broader company reporting builds from there.

  • First 30 days: you know our data, models and dashboards, and have mapped the gaps in marketing measurement with the Growth and Lifecycle Marketers.

  • First 60 days: core attribution and conversion reporting is live, and the data feeding our CEP is reliable.

  • First 90 days: the marketing measurement framework is in place and the team uses it to make spend and program decisions.

Our stack

Warehouse: Snowflake. Transformation: dbt. BI: Metabase. Product analytics: Mixpanel. Customer engagement: Braze and Iterable (consolidating on one). Languages: SQL and Python. Location

This is a hybrid role based at our office in DUMBO, Brooklyn, with a few days a week in person. We're looking for candidates in the greater NYC area. Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $150,000, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Logistics

Till is an equal opportunity employer. We’re building a team that reflects the families we serve and welcome candidates from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Till Financial is not able to sponsor employment visas (e.g., H-1B) at this time.
