As a Tech & AI Senior Business Development StratOps Associate, you will play a key role in driving business development strategy and execution forward by analyzing and tracking Tech & AI partnerships, leading the team’s planning initiatives, leading deal and team reporting, and assisting in deal structuring! This role fulfills a key business partner function within the organization, working to ensure transparency of key information across our broad portfolio of Tech & AI partnerships and initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this role has strong analytical and strategic skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits, experience navigating and influencing a cross-functional, matrix organization, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to senior stakeholders

We're looking for someone who can zoom out to set a vision and solve problems from 30,000 feet, as well as zoom in to dive deep into the details! This role reports to the Global Head of StratOps for Business Development and works alongside our Tech & AI Global Business Development Leadership team.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a resourceful multitasker, supporting verticals across BD and select global programs (e.g., hailables). You'll be the go-to person for many key organization initiatives requiring cross functional collaboration.

  • Partner with deal leads to determine deal strategy, including driving analysis on important strategic decisions to propel the business forward.

  • Distill large volumes of information and present them back to the business in the form of succinct business insights.

  • Drive team accountability by managing the deal pipeline and review process, including deal approvals and deal performance tracking and reporting.

  • Ensure deals serve company strategy, accounting for risk appropriately, monitoring competitive developments, identifying KPIs, and estimating financial impacts.

  • Launch and manage tools and processes that are foundational to the operation of the org.

  • Serve as a thought partner to various Business Development deal leads.

  • Set governance processes, manage rhythm and cadence of operations for the entire business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, corporate development or relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL expertise: know how to access, interpret, and package data to deliver innovative analysis that improves our operations.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborating as a team while working independently to get the job done.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building relationships, gaining credibility, and influencing business leaders and cross-functional partners.

  • Exceptional storytelling abilities: synthesize information quickly, distill key takeaways, and craft a compelling story from a few or billions of data points.

  • Self-motivation, strong business judgment, and an affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving, and driving action.

  • High standards and a bias toward action—find the context you need, push for clarity and delivery, and hold a high bar for yourself and others.

  • Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

  • Grit and perseverance: you’re inspired by a challenge and keep going when others back away.

  • Enthusiasm for Uber and the opportunity to have a big impact!
