Full job description

Company Description

Farther is a rapidly growing RIA that combines expert advisors with cutting-edge technology - delivering a comprehensive, tailored wealth management experience.

Farther’s founders are leaders and innovators from the private wealth industry who possess a unique blend of traditional wealth management, fintech, and technology production expertise. We’re backed by top-tier venture capital firms, fintech investors, and industry leaders.

Joining Farther means joining a collaborative team of entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients and our teammates achieve more. If you’re the type who breaks through walls to get things done the right way, we want to build the future of wealth management with you.

The Role

As a Director on our Advisor Business Development team, you'll build relationships with experienced financial advisors and teams and turn them into real opportunities for Farther. You'll start by sourcing, developing deals, and booking meetings with established advisors alongside our senior team, then take on the full recruiting cycle, from discovery through signed agreement, as you build your track record here. This is a senior individual contributor seat for someone who has built pipeline the hard way and wants their results reflected in their paycheck.

Your Impact

  • Source and engage established advisors and teams through targeted outbound, referrals, and your own network

  • Develop early conversations into qualified opportunities and book meetings with the right decision makers

  • Understand each advisor's practice economics, growth goals, and client base, and tailor the Farther story to fit

  • Grow into owning the full recruiting cycle, from platform demos through signed agreements, as you prove your track record

  • Consistently hit pipeline and meeting targets, building toward annual AUM goals

The Ideal Match

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience, with a consistent record of exceeding quota

  • You've built pipeline through your own outbound efforts, cold calling included

  • Experience working with sophisticated buyers through sales cycles that take months, not days

  • Motivated by a high-variable comp structure, with clear goals for your career and earnings

  • Bachelor's degree and the flexibility to travel to Dallas for priority prospect meetings

Bonus Points

  • Experience recruiting or selling to financial advisors, RIAs, or wealth management firms

  • An existing network within the independent advisor community

  • Understanding of custody platforms and advisor transition economics

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or HubSpot

Why Join Us

  • Competitive comp package with uncapped commission potential

  • A clear path to owning the full recruiting cycle as you prove your track record

  • Ground-floor opportunity at a fast-scaling startup

  • Work alongside some of the brightest minds in fintech

  • Full health benefits + 401(k) matching & Roth IRA options

  • Unlimited PTO
