Sunrise is seeking a strategic, business-minded Assistant General Counsel (Transactional) to support our Real Estate, Development, and Asset Management teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions and development projects
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, LOIs, financings, and management contracts
- Support joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and portfolio transactions
- Oversee title and survey diligence processes
- Advise senior leaders on corporate, contract, and compliance matters
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal strategy with business goals
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
You will play a key role in structuring and negotiating complex transactions that drive Sunrise’s growth and portfolio performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6–7 years legal experience in corporate, real estate, or finance law
- Background in transactional and development work preferred
- Active bar license in good standing
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and drafting skills
- Sound legal and business judgment
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels
- Senior living or hospitality industry experience preferred
