Full job description

Description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

We are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to run the consumer marketing operations that power how Amazon Leo reaches households and individual customers. You will be the owner and administrator of our consumer engagement platform (currently Braze) and the tools and integrations connected to it, keeping the platform healthy, governed, and ready for regional performance marketing teams to build and launch their own campaigns.

Your job is to build and maintain the foundation these teams rely on: platform configuration and access, reusable templates and lifecycle journey frameworks, deliverability, data flow, and the documentation, training, and standards that keep a growing multi-region program consistent and compliant. When a regional team needs to move fast, the reason they can is the operational groundwork you've put in place.

You will also own the integrations and capabilities that extend consumer marketing beyond the core platform, from personalization and dynamic content to promotional offers, surveys and customer feedback, and connections into Amazon's own infrastructure. That means evaluating new tools, standing them up, and making them usable for the teams who depend on them. You will work closely with the audience management, marketing automation, and business intelligence functions to keep data clean, audiences well defined, and measurement accurate. As Leo's consumer marketing grows into new markets and channels, you will scale the platform, onboard new teams, and keep the enablement model working.

Key job responsibilities

  • Administer and govern the consumer engagement platform (currently Braze): workspace and environment setup, user access and permissions, subscription and channel configuration, and platform standards

  • Own the integrations and adjacent capabilities tied to consumer marketing, including personalization and dynamic content, promotional and offer mechanisms, surveys and customer feedback, and connections to relevant Amazon Leo infrastructure

  • Set and maintain the governance standards that keep a multi-region program coherent: naming conventions, tagging, template usage, and brand and compliance guardrails

  • Run deliverability operations, including subscription management, sending infrastructure health, and opt-in and privacy compliance across markets

  • Write the documentation, run the training, and build the enablement resources that get regional teams up and running and keep them self-sufficient

  • Work with the audience management function so regional teams have accurate, activation-ready audiences in the platform

  • Work with marketing automation, audience management, and business intelligence teams to keep data flowing cleanly and measurement consistent across the consumer journey

  • Act as the platform expert and escalation point, troubleshooting issues and unblocking regional teams

  • Own the consumer marketing operations roadmap, prioritizing platform improvements, integrations, and enablement as the program grows

  • Contribute to cross-functional marketing operations initiatives as team priorities require

A day in the life

You might start the morning getting a regional team set up in Braze, walking them through the template library and the standards so they can build their next campaign without you. From there you check platform health and deliverability, fix a subscription or configuration issue, and update your documentation to cover a new guardrail. In the afternoon you might build a lifecycle journey framework several regions can adapt, scope an integration that brings a new capability into the platform, or sit with the audience team to line up the segments for an upcoming send. In between, you are looking for the manual steps worth automating and the standards worth tightening, so the operation holds together as more teams and markets come online.

About the team

The Amazon Leo Marketing team is responsible for building a world-class brand and driving global demand for a transformational connectivity service. The Marketing Ops & Analytics team builds the systems, data flows, measurements, and insights that support a multi-LOB global business. We operate with the agility of a startup inside Amazon, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, Science, and global marketing teams to ensure our decisions are grounded in high-quality data.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience in setting up and leading marketing operations functions

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional email and push marketing campaigns (including automated flows) from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

  • Experience using email platforms and editing HTML

  • Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
