Premier Group (PG) is a woman-owned CPA and advisory firm in Landover, Maryland, specializing in government and nonprofit auditing, federal grant compliance, and professional services. We are hiring two Staff Auditors to join our audit team: one focused on financial statement audits and one on government compliance audits.

Staff Auditor, Government Compliance Audit

This role supports federal and government audit engagements, including grant compliance reviews, Single Audits, and performance-based audits conducted under Government Auditing Standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance testing of federal grants and programs under 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance)

• Test internal controls over compliance and document results in workpapers

• Support engagements performed under GAGAS (Yellow Book), including Single Audits and agency-specific grant reviews

• Select and test samples of transactions for allowability, eligibility, and cost principles

• Draft findings, workpaper conclusions, and sections of audit reports

• Coordinate with clients on document requests and follow-ups

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

• 1 to 3 years of audit experience; government, grant, or compliance audit experience preferred

• Familiarity with GAGAS and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)

• Proficiency in Excel and audit software

• Strong analytical, documentation, and written communication skills

• CPA license or progress toward CPA eligibility preferred

• Federal audit experience (Single Audit, OIG, or grant compliance) is a plus

Position Details:

• Pay Rate / Range:$28.13

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
