  • Advise and help first-year and transfer students with course selection and scheduling and assist AVS faculty and students with advising challenges and the completion and processing of program paperwork.

  • Develop, update, and apply communications to incoming students, including prospective, admitted, transfer, and matriculated students.

  • Work with faculty and staff to develop and update best practices for advisors, anticipating the advising needs of faculty and students over the year.

  • Work with faculty and staff to develop effective media and marketing materials, including social media posts that promote the program.

  • Lead curriculum committee meetings, program development, and the organization and documentation of Student Learning Outcomes, student surveys, and exit interviews.

  • Maintain and develop articulation agreements between the AVS program and other institutions.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the University, external businesses, and local and state governments.
