Full job description
- Conduct complex financial analysis for clients and prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and management reports to support business planning and decision-making. * Prepare and review complex Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estate, and Gift Tax Returns, as well as applicable International Tax Forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. * Advise corporate clients on tax strategies, financial planning, compensation structures, employee benefit planning, and long-term business tax considerations; consult with individual clients regarding short-term and long-term tax planning and estate-related financial matters. * Perform comprehensive account reconciliations, variance analysis, and detailed profit and loss statement reviews to identify discrepancies, financial trends, and opportunities for operational improvement. * Lead corporate financial planning projects, including tax strategy development, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and preparation of business plans and financial projections for executive and CPA review. * Prepare and review periodic GAAP-compliant financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards. * Supervise, train, and provide guidance to junior accountants, accountant interns, and bookkeeping staff; review work product for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission for final CPA review. * Coordinate with clients to obtain financial documentation, resolve accounting discrepancies, respond to tax-related inquiries, and ensure timely completion of accounting and tax engagements. * Assist in improving internal accounting procedures, reporting processes, and financial controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. * Support audits, tax examinations, and regulatory filings by preparing required financial documentation, reconciliations, and explanatory analyses. * Supervise Accountants and Auditors; 43-3031.00: Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerks. Requirements: Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Must have knowledge of Corporate Taxation and Accounting Information Systems.
