Full job description
MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 15,000 customers, including McDonalds, Michaels, Cintas, Redimix, and U.S. LBM, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 16 million managed assets and 92 million completed work orders. In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours. We’re growing fast and hiring the Product talent to match. We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our Core Division. The role sits in the Enterprise Knowledge pillar, the team responsible for how large, multi-site customers define, standardize and govern their operational data. Our mission is to expand the product so that we can win and serve much larger customers and open new revenue opportunities. That means rethinking some of the fundamental architecture underneath how MaintainX works. What you’ll do: You’ll own a foundational, company-level bet: reshaping the core of our product so it scales from thousands of sites to the world’s largest operators, without breaking the customers who rely on it today.
-
Own strategy, roadmap and execution for a new enterprise-grade foundation, taking it from an early design-partner alpha to broad adoption across multi-site enterprise accounts
-
Define how our product needs to evolve architecturally to win larger customers, and build the case, sequencing and investment plan for getting there
-
Consolidate overlapping systems into one coherent model, with a migration path and deprecation sequence that strands no customer mid-move
-
Settle the hard product questions this space is full of (how change propagates, how control is shared between corporate and sites, how existing data comes along) so the teams building on top have clear rules to work from
-
Run the design-partner program yourself: recurring customer sessions and prototype-driven discovery, converted directly into roadmap
-
Take big structural redesigns from spec to validated model, additive and non-breaking for existing customers
-
Partner with Engineering, Design, GTM and executive leadership to turn an architectural shift into revenue: new segments, larger deals and a stronger enterprise story
About you:
-
7+ years in product management, including 5+ years of platform or core-product work at an enterprise SaaS company — entity models, permissioning, configuration frameworks, the foundations other products are built on, not the features on top
-
Deep systems thinking: you can hold a cascade/override policy or a hierarchy schema in your head, reason about cardinality and migration states, and argue the trade-offs with staff engineers as a peer
-
A real discovery motion — you run design-partner sessions yourself and let evidence overrule opinion
-
A track record sequencing multi-year foundational work while shipping customer-visible value every quarter
Nice to have:
-
CMMS, EAM or industrial operations background
-
Experience migrating customers off SAP PM or Maximo-class systems
Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build. Compensation and benefits. Base pay is one part of the package. Depending on the role, compensation may also include commission, an annual bonus and equity. Benefits differ by country. For roles in the United States, Autodesk’s benefits are described at benefits.autodesk.com. For roles in Canada and other countries, the plan differs on health coverage, retirement and leave, and your recruiter will walk you through it. Belonging. We take pride in a culture where everyone can thrive. More at autodesk.com/company/global-belonging. More on where this is going: Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost on building the future of connected operations, and AOS SVP Stephen Hooper on welcoming MaintainX to Autodesk.
