Full job description
TrueBiz is a YC-backed merchant risk intelligence platform helping financial institutions understand whether the businesses they serve are legitimate. Every day, banks, payment companies, and fintechs make decisions about which businesses to onboard, approve, and continue serving. Too often, those decisions rely on incomplete information, manual research, and outdated data. TrueBiz uses AI and real-time business intelligence to help financial institutions make faster, more accurate decisions. Our technology helps automate merchant underwriting, detect fraud, and continuously monitor businesses for emerging risks. We're trusted by some of the largest companies in payments and financial services. We're a small, fast-growing, execution-oriented team backed by Y Combinator, Flourish Ventures, and Homebrew. We've intentionally stayed lean, moved quickly, and given people significantly more ownership than they'd typically have at a company with our level of enterprise traction. The Opportunity We’re looking for someone commercially sharp and resourceful who’s comfortable selling without a large sales organization behind them. You enjoy prospecting as much as closing, and you know how to get into a major financial institution and get a deal through it. Our product is already in production with major players in payments and financial services, and most of those deals were founder-led. Your job is to win the next wave of enterprise customers. You’ll identify target accounts, break in, run discovery, work through complex evaluations, and close significant enterprise deals. Along the way, you’ll help shape how TrueBiz sells. You’ll work directly with the CEO and a small, experienced team. You’ll own your accounts, your pipeline, and your approach to the market, and there are no layers between you and a decision. What will you be doing?
- Open doors at financial institutions. Identify and break into target accounts across payment processors, acquirers, fintechs, and banks, building relationships with leaders in risk, fraud, underwriting, and compliance.
- Uncover real customer problems. Run discovery conversations to understand how prospects currently onboard, underwrite, and monitor businesses, where their processes break down, and what improving them would be worth.
- Turn interest into compelling business cases. Help customers understand how TrueBiz can reduce manual reviews, increase approval rates, identify fraud, and improve operational efficiency.
- Run enterprise evaluations. Work with prospects and our product team to test TrueBiz against real merchant portfolios, demonstrate measurable results, and turn successful evaluations into commercial agreements.
- Own complex deals from start to finish. Navigate multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, procurement, security, and legal to move opportunities from initial conversation to signed contract.
- Help us build a better sales motion. Work directly with the CEO and go-to-market team to sharpen our messaging, identify what works, and develop a more repeatable approach to winning enterprise customers.
What we’re looking for? Must have:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a track record of closing complex enterprise deals.
- Demonstrated ability to independently source, develop, and close significant opportunities.
- Experience navigating large organizations, building relationships with senior executives, and managing multiple stakeholders through long sales cycles.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.
- Comfortable selling technical products and working closely with product and engineering teams.
- An entrepreneurial, scrappy mindset. You're proactive, resourceful, persistent, and take ownership of results.
- Located in the USA.
Nice to have:
- Strong preference for experience selling into fintech, payments, or banking, or working in risk, fraud, identity, KYB/KYC, or compliance.
- Experience as an early sales hire at a high-growth startup.
Why Join TrueBiz?
- Proven enterprise traction: Sell technology already trusted by some of the largest companies in financial services.
- An opportunity to build: Join at a pivotal stage and help shape how we grow our enterprise customer base.
- Real ownership: Own strategic accounts, influence our go-to-market approach, and work directly with leadership and product.
- Work that matters: Every deal helps financial institutions stop fraudulent businesses and approve legitimate ones faster.
- Meaningful upside: Competitive compensation and equity with the opportunity to grow alongside the company.
