Full job description
Job Duties The Fiber Optics Teacher is responsible for providing quality instruction that meets the needs of the student in the trade areas of basic adult education and GED standards. Additionally, to meet the standards defined under the Commonwealths statutes and program certification requirements. Minimum Qualifications Minimum: The ability to engage students in one-on-one teaching and work with students and inmate aides in a classroom/Lab environment. The ability to maintain accurate records. Knowledge and experience of policy and procedure governing adult education. Must possess working knowledge of basic adult education field, adult literacy, and computer software appropriate for program needs. Experience in maintaining classroom, equipment, and inventories; Demonstrate competency in the related field of current trade licensure. Must have the ability to collaborate with other Correctional Education staff.
