Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role As Customer Marketing Manager, you’ll own the programs that turn Rippling’s happiest customers into our most powerful growth engine. You’ll build and run Wavemakers, our customer advocacy program, recruiting and engaging a community of advocates with meaningful incentives. You’ll also own our customer reference program, building a roster of referenceable customers and making sure Sales has what they need to close deals, with an eye toward scaling the program as our product suite and international footprint grow. From day one, you’ll have the autonomy to shape these programs to meet the needs of the business, and there’s plenty of room to dream up new ways to spotlight our customers and their success stories. What you will do
- Own Wavemakers, our customer advocacy program, including defining segments, nomination criteria, and recruitment strategy, refining a tier and points model with real incentives, and driving ongoing engagement
- Own the customer reference program and rep engagement playbook, including recruiting and building a roster of referenceable customers, fulfilling sales requests for references, and tracking program performance
- Run customer awards at XFN, Rippling’s annual customer conference
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to turn happy customers into advocates, references, and case studies
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate advocacy and reference workflows, including partnering with Marketing Operations
- Support product betas by collecting customer proof points that support launches
- Track and report on program health, including reference fulfillment rate and time-to-fulfill, win rate on deals with a reference versus without, Wavemakers Hub membership and engagement, and the percentage of customers who convert into a reference or case study
What you will need
- 3+ years of experience in a customer marketing-related role (customer marketing, product marketing, or similar), ideally in B2B SaaS or AI
- Experience running advocacy and reference programs, including recruiting and activating advocates, incentivizing participation, and scaling a program to meet growing business needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging
- A self-starter mindset, with a track record of driving projects end-to-end, standing up new processes from scratch, and scaling existing ones
- High EQ and a proven ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously with timely, responsive follow-through
- Experience with Salesforce and UserEvidence (nice to have)
