Senior SAP Business Analyst

Description We are looking for a Senior SAP Business Analyst to support planning and supply chain initiatives for a growing organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role focuses on improving business processes across advanced planning, demand planning, and supply network planning while partnering with stakeholders to align system capabilities with operational goals. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP planning expertise, sound business analysis skills, and experience working in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business and operations teams to evaluate planning needs and translate them into effective SAP-based solutions across advanced planning, demand planning, and supply network planning functions.

• Analyze current workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements that strengthen forecasting, supply planning, and material availability.

• Configure and support SAP planning modules, ensuring business requirements are accurately reflected in system design and functional specifications.

• Manage integration activities involving core planning transactions and connected processes such as planned orders, purchase requisitions, process orders, and monitoring of planning data flows.

• Work independently to investigate issues, assess root causes, and coordinate resolutions that minimize disruption to manufacturing and supply chain operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using structured delivery practices to document requirements, validate outcomes, and support implementation efforts.

• Produce clear process documentation, functional designs, and business analysis artifacts that support decision-making and long-term system sustainability. Requirements

• 7+ years of business analysis with SAP functional experience, including substantial hands-on work with SAP planning solutions with APO, DM and SNP

• Demonstrated expertise in advanced planning, demand planning, and supply network planning configuration and functional design.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, including raw material planning, procurement, and end-to-end process design.

• Experience supporting integration points tied to planned orders, purchase requisitions, process orders, and related planning activities.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.

• Background in gap analysis, document review, and requirements gathering within structured project environments.
