Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations in Commerce, California. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records, managing core bookkeeping functions, and keeping reporting activities on schedule. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently while ensuring payables, receivables, reconciliations, and ledger activity are handled with a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities, including reviewing and entering vendor bills and preparing payments on time.

• Oversee accounts receivable processes by issuing invoices, applying payments, and following up on outstanding balances as needed.

• Maintain the general ledger by recording financial activity accurately and keeping supporting documentation well organized.

• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure records remain current and reliable.

• Support inventory-related accounting tasks by tracking financial impacts tied to stock movement and valuation.

• Monitor business expenses and categorize transactions appropriately to maintain clear and complete financial records.

• Assist with month-end close procedures by preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and helping finalize reporting.

• Produce internal financial reports that provide management with timely and accurate insight into accounting activity.

• Preserve orderly accounting files and documentation to support compliance, audits, and day-to-day operational needs. Requirements • At least 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including hands-on responsibility for full-cycle bookkeeping functions.

• Demonstrated experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable in a business environment.

• Solid knowledge of core accounting principles, including ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial record accuracy.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks and strong overall computer skills for daily accounting operations.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including formulas, organized spreadsheets, and basic data review.

• Strong numerical aptitude with a careful, detail-focused approach to financial work.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and maintain organized records.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a thorough and transparent approach to resolving issues.
