Full job description

Job Description This role is offered as hybrid in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be available to work in office at the Nordstrom corporate headquarters a minimum of 4 days/week to be considered for this position.

The Senior Product Manager for Inventory Value is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, which will spearhead initiatives for our Inventory ERP Stock Ledger system. In this role, you’ll lead the charge in delivering value through strategic product development, cross-functional collaboration, and a customer-centric approach. Product Management is responsible for making sure we deliver the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while driving stakeholder alignment.

A day in the life…

  • Drive Innovation: Foster creativity across functions and domains, encouraging experimentation and forward-thinking solutions.
  • Plan Strategically: Orchestrate comprehensive product planning sessions, driving alignment across dependencies and domains.
  • Evangelize Your Vision: Advocate for your product, influencing strategic roadmap decisions both within your domain and across organizational levels.
  • Collaborate Seamlessly: Partner with business/technology teams, and SaaS providers to deliver impactful product solutions while providing responsive support.
  • Leverage User and Business Insights: Conduct research, synthesize findings, and develop a deep understanding of opportunities, incorporating market trends and competitor analysis into product roadmaps.
  • Embrace AI & Automation: Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to inventory value workflows — including delivering and scaling AI agents, anomaly detection in data flows, predictive data quality validation, and intelligent exception routing.

You own this if you have…

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in product management (retail systems integration preferred).
  • AI Agent Product Ownership: Proven experience owning the vision and roadmap for an AI agent or agentic product in production, including defining use cases, prioritizing capabilities, and measuring accuracy, adoption, and business impact.
  • Technical & Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of ERP system design, data architecture, and stock ledger management within retail operations, including the transition from on-premises to modern, cloud-based SaaS solutions. Experience with system integrations, data flows, data transformation, and validation requirements supporting inventory management, financial reconciliation, and operational efficiency is highly valued.
  • Strategic Vision & Ambiguity: Ability to set a compelling product vision and multi-year roadmap, and to thrive in ambiguity where requirements, ownership, and scope are still forming.
  • Execution: Demonstrated ability to lead discoveries and delivery across multiple engineering teams in parallel, drive to an aligned MVP, and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive alignment across engineering, finance, and inventory ops — up to executive leadership.
