Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float Casual to join our team in Oro Valley, AZ and surrounding areas .

Work Schedule: This is a casual/PRN position; hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary from Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

• Current or Prior Labcorp experience

• Experience drawing on pediatrics

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

• Be at least 21 years of age

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

• Reliable transportation

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

As a Float Phlebotomist Casual , you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
