Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer to provide technical expertise and strategic guidance across a large-scale endpoint security environment. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource between cybersecurity leadership and a managed services engineering team responsible for day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep CrowdStrike expertise along with the critical-thinking skills necessary to evaluate security recommendations, identify gaps, guide technical decisions, and help shape the future direction of the organization's endpoint security program.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimize, and provide technical guidance across endpoint detection and response technologies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for CrowdStrike within a large endpoint environment.
- Evaluate existing endpoint-security policies and recommend improvements.
- Review technical recommendations from managed service providers and determine appropriate courses of action.
- Identify security gaps and develop technical approaches to address them.
- Evaluate and recommend new endpoint-security capabilities and features.
- Assist in building technical roadmaps for endpoint-security initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to a 5-7 person managed services/run-and-maintain team.
- Support major projects, platform changes, upgrades, and security initiatives.
- Assist with technical requirements gathering and solution evaluation.
- Support Trellix/McAfee technology used within OT environments as needed.
- Assist with upcoming infrastructure/platform upgrades associated with the Trellix environment.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership and other technical teams to improve the organization's overall endpoint-security posture.
Pay rate ranges $60/hr to $75/hr based on experience.
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with CrowdStrike Falcon
- Experience with McAfee/Trellix
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Defender (for Endpoint) experience
- Experience with Windows Servers
- ServiceNow experience
- Cybersecurity certifications
- Leadership experience
