  • Manage high-voltage harness routing and design for the drive system, power distribution, and HVAC

  • Own device transmittal documentation as the interfacing document between device owners, controls, and harnessing team

  • Work with power systems and vehicle teams to package wire harness components on the interior and exterior of the RV cabin

  • Conduct detailed mechanical analysis of subsystems and components as needed to ensure all functional, durability, and longevity requirements are met

  • Perform Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to establish reliability and mitigate safety issues for critical components and assemblies

  • Select off-the-shelf components (connectors, terminals, wire, loom, shields, etc.) with a focus on cost, quality, and supply chain robustness

  • Work directly with vendors alongside supply chain for sourcing parts, components, and materials

  • Support functional prototyping of subsystems to de-risk designs early before full vehicle builds

  • Work with the test engineering team to develop DVP&R testing and troubleshoot vehicle-level test failures

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to a growing team of mechanical engineers

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or higher degree in an engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering

  • 7+ years of mechanical or electrical engineering design experience, with direct experience spec’ing, designing, and validating wire harnesses

  • Experience with the following:

  • CAD/PLM/PDM systems

  • Rapid iteration cycles

  • General harness sizing & provisioning

  • Creating 3D CAD and 2D drawings for harness routing

  • Creating design validation plans for electrical hardware & mechanical assemblies

Preferred Qualifications

  • EV/HV Routing Experience

  • Boat/AG/RV Industry Experience

  • OR

  • Experience in automotive or transportation industries (truck/bus/rail)
