Accounting Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager for an integrated oilfield services organization in The Woodlands, TX. This role will lead key accounting and reporting activities while remaining highly hands-on with complex accounting, close, financial analysis and process improvement.

Job Logistics

Day to Day

• Lead and participate in monthly close
• Perform complex accounting activities
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain GL accuracy
• Analyze balance-sheet and income-statement accounts
• Prepare/review monthly financial reporting
• Maintain fixed asset accounting
• Manage ASC 842 lease accounting
• Coordinate external audit schedules
• Improve accounting processes/internal controls
• Prepare reporting and analysis for operational management
• Partner with AP, Payroll, HR and operational divisions
• Supervise and develop one accounting team member

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience

• 1+ year supervising accounting staff

• Deep U.S. GAAP knowledge

• Advanced Excel

• Strong financial reporting and analytical capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication Plusses

• CPA

• Energy experience

• Oilfield services experience

• Other field-based operations experience
