Executive Editor - Garden City Executive Editor Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 The Executive Editor is responsible for leading the newsrooms editorial strategy, producing high-quality, impactful journalism, and ensuring timely coverage of important local issues. This role requires a strong journalist and effective leader who can motivate staff, collaborate across departments, develop editors and reporters, and engage with diverse and underserved communities. The Executive Editor will use audience analytics and sound editorial judgment to guide content planning, grow readership, and expand coverage across news, sports, lifestyle, business, and community interests. As a member of the companys senior management team, the role also oversees budgeting, recruitment, employee performance and development, compensation, and strategic initiatives while maintaining editorial excellence, meeting deadlines, and fostering a culture of urgency, accountability, and community engagement.
