Full job description

Who We Are

Tatcha is a skincare brand rooted in timeless Japanese wisdom, offering transformative yet kind-to-skin formulas that marry Japanese botanicals with clinical ingredients. Our formulation philosophy is informed by the Japanese concept hinou dokon, which means “skin-mind same root”—an acknowledgement of the powerful connection between the skin and the brain. Guided by the mission to care for people through their skin, Tatcha takes a holistic approach to skincare from concept to formulation to clinical evaluation, offering skincare rituals that benefit both skin and mind, while emphasizing the importance of mindfulness to skin health.

Job Summary

As the Email Marketing Coordinator at Tatcha you’ll be a key member of the eCommerce team. In this hands-on role, you’ll build, schedule, and deploy the email and SMS campaigns that bring Tatcha to clients around the world. You’ll own the day-to-day execution of our email calendar, partner with creative to brief and deliver campaigns on time, and help the team understand what’s working through weekly reporting.

This role is ideal for someone who loves the craft of email: getting the details right, keeping a busy calendar on track, and seeing their work go live every week.

Key Requirements

  • Build, QA, and schedule promotional email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo, including segmentation, dynamic content, link and UTM checks, and cross-device rendering tests.

  • Own and maintain the email and SMS calendar, keeping send dates, audiences, and deliverables up to date as priorities shift.

  • Write creative briefs for each campaign and partner with the creative team to keep deliverables on schedule and aligned with Tatcha’s brand voice.

  • Proof all campaigns for accuracy, brand consistency, grammar, and offer details before deployment.

  • Set up and track A/B tests on subject lines, content, and send times.

  • Pull weekly email and SMS performance reports and share highlights with the team.

  • Support automated flows and lifecycle programs with builds and updates as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 1–2 years of experience in email, CRM, or digital channel marketing preferred.

  • Experience with Klaviyo is preferred. Experience with another email platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Iterable) is also valued.

  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for editing email templates.

  • Strong copyediting skills and a sharp eye for grammar, spelling, and brand consistency.

  • Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.

  • Detail-oriented: you catch the broken link, the wrong date, and the typo before anyone else does.

  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple campaigns and deadlines at once.

  • Adaptable, keeping things moving when timelines or priorities change.

  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly with cross-functional partners.

  • Curious about data and eager to learn what drives performance.

  • Interested in emerging technologies and AI marketing solutions.

  • Passionate about digital marketing and the client experience.

  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and willing to work from our San Francisco HQ a minimum of two days per week.
