Full job description
About the role We're hiring our first growth lead to own how Infera reaches scientists. You'll decide which labs we go after, where we show up, and how we tell our story, and you'll run the outreach yourself. You'll work directly with both founders and build the playbook future growth hires will run. This role starts as a part-time contract, with a path to a full-time founding position. Key responsibilities
- Own top-of-funnel for academic labs, core facilities, biotech incubators and early-stage biotechs, from building target lists to booking first conversations
- Get Infera in the room: find the conferences, seminars and research-community events worth attending, and represent us at booths, talks and demos
- Turn what the product does into posts, one-pagers, demos and case studies that scientists want to read, and that sound like a person wrote them
- Run our channels end-to-end (LinkedIn, email, targeted ads, webinars), measure what's working and cut what isn't
- Bring field signal back to the founders, so the themes you hear in every conversation shape what we build next
- Help set and hit our lab-adoption goals, and report on pipeline each week
Minimum qualifications
- Have 3+ years in growth, marketing or business development at a life-science tools, lab software or biotech company
- Know how research labs adopt new tools, and who decides: PIs, lab managers, core directors and procurement
- Have a network in academic or biotech research communities, or a track record of building one fast
- Write clearly and concisely, and are comfortable picking up the phone or walking into a lab
- Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building processes from scratch
Preferred qualifications
- Bench experience or a graduate degree in the life sciences
- Experience as an early hire at a startup
- Already use AI tools to work faster and better
The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. Annual Salary (full-time equivalent): $60,000—$120,000 USD Logistics
- Commitment: Part-time contract to start, with a path to full-time.
- Location: San Francisco, CA preferred. Remote within the US considered.
- Equity: Meaningful.
We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. We care more about what you've done than about checking boxes.
