Full job description

Teamwork makes the stream work.

Roku is changing how the world watches TV

Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.

From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.

About the Role

Roku’s experimentation platform is mature and widely adopted — about 90% of product areas run tests and rollouts through it. The business need for this role has risen: it is a product leadership position. The PM lead will own the long-term strategy for how Roku experiments, learns, and decides: running trustworthy tests at scale, linking experiment outcomes with direct viewer feedback, and translating both into roadmap, personalization, and AI product decisions/agentification loops. The charter requires tight scoping with Engineering leadership and spans Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Data Engineering, Recommendations, Ads/Martech, Finance, and User Research. This role requires excellent communication and deep empathy with cross-functional product and engineering counterparts as you solve complex testing and data challenges.

For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $167,300 - $307,600. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

How will I use AI at Roku?

At Roku, we don’t just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability.

We value curious, adaptable builders, who can show how they’ve used AI, agents, or automation to move faster, improve quality, and scale their impact. Strong candidates know how to frame problems, guide AI-assisted work, check the output, and learn quickly. Above all, they bring curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the multi-year vision and strategy for experimentation and learning systems at Roku, and evolve the platform as company priorities shift toward AI-powered viewer experiences — personalization, recommendations, and content discovery

  • Responsible for drafting, executive alignment, XFN buy-in, and holding the ground on the Experimentation Platform strategy

  • Drive alignment and influence roadmap priorities across multiple organizations and specialized technical disciplines; set boundaries, make trade-offs explicit, and hold durable alignment across partner teams

  • Close the loop between experiment outcomes and user feedback: build the systems and operating cadence that turn quantitative results and qualitative viewer research into roadmap, ranking, and personalization decisions

  • Operate as a peer to senior Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics leaders — leading through influence and sound technical judgment rather than execution alone

  • Own trust in experimentation end to end: governance, statistical rigor, guardrails, and incident prevention and response, so results stay reliable at scale, and leadership can act on them

  • Represent experimentation to executives with clear, decision-ready communication, and raise the practice across the company through standards, design reviews, and mentoring of PMs and partner teams

We’re Excited If You Have

  • 15+ years of product management experience, including senior leadership of a consumer-focused experimentation platform, building a self-serve analytics platform, and managing data at scale

  • A track record of leading through influence — aligning executives and deep technical organizations around a strategy and sustaining that alignment across orgs

  • Fluency in experimentation science (A/B methodology, statistical inference, experiment quality) paired with demonstrated skill in synthesizing qualitative user research — and in combining the two into product decisions

  • Strong at embracing AI to make self, product area, and the shared tools better. Ideally delivered Gen-AI-powered efficiency in current role and can demonstrate fluency

  • Experience building or guiding AI/ML-powered consumer product KPIs and experimentation

  • Executive presence: communication that senior leadership can rely on to make decisions

  • Streaming, entertainment, or consumer AI product or testing expertise a plus; an advanced degree in a quantitative field a plus

What should I know about Roku's culture?

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
