Technical Summary:

The Director, Direct-to-Consumer Sales Experience provides strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end National Direct to Consumer Sales experience within National Sales & Engagement Solutions (NSES), supporting sales and retention agents who engage approximately 2 million members and consumers annually across Medicare, KPIF, Commercial, and other lines of business. The role owns the vision for how consumers and agents experience the sales journey, from the initial consumer inquiry and information gathering through guidance, product selection, enrollment, and retention. The Director is accountable for understanding the sales experience from both the consumer and agent perspectives and identifying opportunities to make that journey simpler, more intuitive, efficient, and effective. This leader establishes what a successful sales experience should look like, defines business priorities and desired outcomes, and ensures the organization is effectively guiding consumers toward the information, support, and solutions that meet their needs. Success is measured through outcomes including sales effectiveness, conversion, enrollment, agent efficiency, data quality, Agent Satisfaction (ASAT), and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT).

While technology is an important enabler, this is a business leadership role rather than a technology-build role. The Director partners closely with technology teams, product owners, and vendor partners to translate the needs of the business, consumers, and frontline sales teams into capabilities that support the desired sales journey. The role provides business direction and prioritization across Salesforce CRM and connected sales capabilities, including opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve how agents engage consumers, answer questions accurately, and navigate the sales process.

The Director also oversees vendor engagement, investment priorities, roadmap direction, and delivery outcomes, ensuring partners understand the business experience being created and deliver against defined expectations. The role maintains business decision authority for acceptance of major enhancements and ensures solutions align with National Health Plan and National Sales objectives while continually improving the consumer and agent experience.
