Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the finance team at our Mohawk, MI office. This role owns day-to-day accounts payable, along with supporting reporting, expense reviews, bank feed matching, and purchasing. This position is built for an accountant with strong fundamentals who wants to grow into broader staff accountant responsibilities as the role matures. **Role and Responsibilities ** - Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, vendor reconciliations, and vendor inquiries {=html} - Support reporting, monthly reconciliations, month-end close, and audit documentation requests {=html} - Assist purchasing with order processing, vendor management, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services {=html} - Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate coding to the general ledger {=html} - Reconcile bankfeeds {=html} - Follow documented SOPs, flag process gaps, and cross-train with other finance team members {=html} - Assist with various financial tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations and timely completion of projects {=html} - Other duties as assigned {=html} - Comply with alcohol and controlled substance company policies {=html} - Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures **Physical Requirements ** - Ability to sit at a computer and work with spreadsheets and accounting software for extended periods {=html} - Ability to walk, stand, and move around office and shop facilities as needed {=html} - Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally (supplies, files) {=html} - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment {=html} - Wearing required PPE when visiting shop or production areas **Working Hours ** Typical office hours: 8 am
