Job Summary

Leads outside and inside business development initiatives for multiple product lines and services across the state of Ohio. Focuses on generating and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and providing customized solutions to meet client needs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead outside and inside business development initiatives for multiple product lines and services across the state of Ohio, generating and maintaining customer relationships and delivering customized solutions to meet client needs.

  • Achieve established growth targets and customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Actively identify and leverage opportunities to connect with potential customers.

  • Follow up with leads in a timely and professional manner.

  • Demonstrate strong responsiveness to customer concerns, ideas, and needs.

  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, determine buying patterns, and uncover sales opportunities.

  • Create, maintain, and update monthly and yearly sales reports and analytics.

  • Follow up with customers by phone or in person to review account activity and performance.

  • Prepare and maintain lost/gain reports to track customer retention.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to support timely reporting of weekly, monthly, and yearly sales activity.

  • Support the development of sustainable email campaigns for prospective, existing, and former customers.

  • Provide verbal and written feedback to the Director, State and Commercial Sales to assist in the creation of effective sales and marketing materials such as product sheets and flyers.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Up to 5 years of sales or account management experience, including developing new sales opportunities and selling both existing products and customized solutions.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to develop, deliver, and present information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs, challenges, and perspectives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 20%, locally, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
