Job Description

One of our clients is seeking an intermediate-level contractor to support the implementation and ongoing development of tools focused on national cancer-control planning and childhood cancer policy. This role will maintain implementation guides and document repositories, refine a multilingual policy lexicon, coordinate activities with country teams, and develop materials supporting policy analysis, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.

This is a remote, part-time position requiring up to 15 hours per week. The contractor must be available during Central Time business hours and flexible enough to collaborate across global time zones.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Consolidate and refine presentations, reports, spreadsheets, graphics, templates, sample data, and written materials into a clear NCCP Digest Quick Start Guide. Create and maintain process documentation and workflow materials that support the onboarding of NCCP Digest teams. Maintain a current and standardized set of NCCP Digest summary materials, ensuring consistency, clarity, and usability across implementations. Review findings from previous NCCP Digest implementations and translate those findings into updated reports, summaries, presentations, and other data products. Build and maintain a structured document repository containing internal resources, collaborator-ready materials, finalized documents, working files, and reusable templates. Manage document organization, version control, and ongoing updates across the NCCP Digest repository. Consolidate and refine the multilingual NCCP Ontology used for policy analysis. Standardize ontology templates, terminology, and supporting processes to make the resource easier for teams to use. Incorporate policy-informed updates from collaborators and the Client’s Health Systems Unit into the living NCCP Ontology. Develop tracking materials to monitor progress during and after country-specific NCCP Digest reviews and NCCP Ontology implementations. Coordinate and document action items from planning and review meetings. Respond to implementation questions from country teams and support stakeholder follow-up. Coordinate NCCP Digest workshops, including preparing agendas, invitations, materials, and facilitation activities. Create NCCP Digest, NCCP Ontology, and other policy-related materials for manuscripts, reports, and presentations. Support additional national health policy initiatives involving the Client’s Health Systems Unit and in-country partners. Assist with policy-related activities connected to the Client’s role as a coordinating body for the WHO Collaborating Centre for Childhood Cancer.

Skills and Requirements

Experience creating, organizing, and maintaining implementation guides, process documentation, templates, and knowledge repositories. Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Experience synthesizing policy documents, research findings, or other complex information into clear summaries and usable resources. Strong document-management and version-control skills, including the ability to manage finalized materials, working documents, and reusable templates. Experience standardizing terminology, templates, workflows, or documentation across multiple teams or projects. Strong project coordination skills, including progress tracking, meeting documentation, action-item management, workshop coordination, and stakeholder follow-up. Excellent written communication and editing skills, with close attention to clarity, consistency, terminology, and formatting. Ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional stakeholders in a remote environment. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple ongoing priorities. Availability during Central Time business hours, with flexibility to accommodate global time zones. Experience in health policy, public health, global health, childhood cancer, or national cancer-control planning. Experience supporting policy analysis, policy design, or evidence-to-policy initiatives. Familiarity with national cancer-control plans, policy content analysis, or policy-dialogue processes. Experience developing or maintaining ontologies, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, lexicons, or terminology databases. Experience working with multilingual content or terminology. Experience supporting international programs or partnering with country-level teams. Experience coordinating virtual or international workshops. Experience preparing content for formal reports, research manuscripts, policy presentations, or stakeholder-facing publications. Familiarity with Box, Zoom, WebEx, and virtual desktop environments. Experience supporting WHO programs or WHO Collaborating Centres.
