Electrical EngineeringTechnician

Location: Patterson, NY

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join a growing manufacturing team responsible for the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of highly specialized RF and electronic components used in military, aerospace, and defense radar systems.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Electronics Technician, Engineering Technician, Test Technician, or a recent Electrical/Electronics Engineering graduate looking to launch a career in advanced electronics manufacturing and troubleshooting. The team is looking for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work, have strong problem-solving skills, and possess a genuine passion for figuring out how things work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electronics Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on printed circuit boards (PCBs), couplers, and RF assemblies.

  • Diagnose and repair analog and digital circuits at the component level.

  • Identify root causes of failures and implement effective corrective actions.

  • Verify product performance through testing, inspection, and validation activities.

  • Document troubleshooting findings, repairs, and test results.

  • Assembly & Manufacturing Support

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical devices.

  • Follow engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.

  • Support production builds while maintaining quality, reliability, and performance standards.

  • Ensure completed products meet customer and military specifications.

  • Test Equipment Operation

  • Utilize electronic test equipment including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Voltmeters, Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzers

  • Other electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Perform electrical testing and validation of completed assemblies.

  • Support continuous improvement of test and troubleshooting processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Technical Trade School Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field OR Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Experience

  • 1+ year of manufacturing, electronics, testing, assembly, internship, co-op, military electronics, or technical troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting electronic or electro-mechanical systems.

  • Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment.

  • Technical Skills

  • Strong electronics and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology.

  • Recent Electrical or Electronics Engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with RF or microwave components.

  • Familiarity with:

  • RF Couplers

  • RF Combiners

  • Power Dividers

  • Network Analyzers

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.

  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification or experience.

  • Combination of bench testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and production floor support.

  • Candidates must be able to remain seated for extended periods while performing bench technician work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Patterson, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
