Job Title: Senior SuperintendentJob Description

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading all on-site construction activities for commercial building projects from mobilization through project closeout. This role serves as the primary field leader and is accountable for project safety, schedule adherence, quality control, subcontractor management, and overall site operations. The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Directing daily field operations and construction activities.

  • Managing subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

  • Maintaining project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans.

  • Leading safety initiatives and OSHA compliance efforts.

  • Implementing QA/QC procedures.

  • Coordinating inspections, testing, and closeout activities.

  • Maintaining project documentation and reporting.

  • Driving project completion on schedule and within quality expectations.

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of commercial construction experience.

  • Superintendent experience.

  • Industrial/MEP experience for an Electrical Process manufacturing project.

  • Experience with scheduling, subcontractor management, and blueprint reading.

  • OSHA 10 at a minimum, OSHA 30 preferred.

Work Environment

The position is on-site at a project in Newark, DE, for an Electrical Industrial Process Manufacturing project. The company offers a supportive work environment with a clear growth path from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager to Senior Project Manager. Employees have hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout and the opportunity to work directly with Project Managers and field leadership. The role includes strong foundational training in cost control, contracts, and scheduling, as well as exposure to high-quality commercial construction projects in NJ/PA markets. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
