THIS IS A SCDPPPS INTERNAL POSTING ONLY**

*Domestic Violence Supervisor for Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester & Georgetown. Office Location TBD.

Under general supervision of the DV Unit Manager, the DV Supervisor provides first-line supervision to a team of Domestic Violence Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers; maintains a professional communication network inside and outside the Department; participates in training DV Agents; promotes public relations within the assigned county/region; assists with the scheduling and coordinating of DV coordinated community response meetings/DV events; and maintains professional competence.

A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses and experience in probation and parole work. An associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance with 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976.

A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social/behavior sciences or a bachelor's degree which includes at least 15 credit hours in the aforementioned disciplines and completion of three (3) years experience in criminal justice, counseling, or related professional human service work. *Domestic Violence Supervisor for Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester & Georgetown.
